Moms who blog are often accused of being too perfect or pretending to be so.
I swoon over the DIY kids’ activities, orderly and well decorated homes, and healthy recipes made from scratch shown on many mommy blogs. These blogs are a wealth of information, and I glean some of those ideas for use with my own family.
These ideas keep me dreaming. They light up my creativity which helps me be a happy mom.
As much as I love the inspiring beautiful blogs showing the perfect life, my connection is with the mommy blogs who show the not-so-perfect side of parenting.
When I read blogs posts that share the gritty side of parenting, I don’t feel alone.
I am not the only one who can’t appreciate every single moment with my children. Prickly Mom
I am not the only who is grossed out by my kids. The Habitat of Meeshie
I am not the only one with kids who misbehave in public. The House of Hendrix
I am grateful for these honest bloggers and many more who share their private struggles. You help us moms realize we are not alone in our imperfections.
